2010 Meet Info - NWAACC Outdoor Championships

2010 NWAACC OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
MEET INFORMATION  
 
DATES OF COMPETITION: May 24-25, 2010

SITE: Spokane Falls CC, Spokane, Washington.
 
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: (2010 Schedule - NWAACC Outdoor Championships

PACKETS: May be picked up at 7:00 p.m. at the coaches meeting or 9-11 a.m. Monday at the track. 

LANE DRAWS: Made by CCS meet director following NCAA guidelines. Preferred lanes are: 4-5-3-6-2-7-8-1 for individual events and for relays.  

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:  
Running Events: All runners and RELAY TEAMS must check in and pick up hip numbers at the clerk’s tent no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time
Field Events: All field athletes must check in at the event site no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.  

IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN: All implements to be used in competition must be turned in during the scheduled weigh in times, May 23rd from 4:00pm- 6:00 pm, May 24th from 9:00 am – 11:00 am or May 25th from 9:00am – 10:00 am located in the northwest tunnel under the stadium. For your convenience, implements may be left in the stadium. Please mark your implements for identification. Illegal implements will be secured until after the meet and may be picked up from the tunnel at the conclusion of the competition. All other implements will be kept and taken to the competition site no later than 45 minutes prior to competition. Competitors may take their own throwing implements following competition. Before departing on Tuesday, May 25th pick up all implements that do not weigh in.

NUMBERS: Will be worn on the front of the competitive uniform by all competing athletes (except for pole vault, which may wear them on the back).

OFFICIALS: Selected by CCS. Assigned by Jason Cash, Officials Coordinator  

RULES OF COMPETITION: NCAA Track & Field Rules and NWAACC Track and Field SOP’s

SCORING: 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

FACILITY INFORMATION: Spokane Falls Community College has an outstanding 400-meter blue tartan track with 80-meter straight a ways, 120-meter curves and 42-inch lanes.  The facility has two javelin runaways, 4 discus rings, 2 shot put rings, 1 hammer ring, 4 long jump/triple jump runways, 3 pole vault runways, and 1 high jump apron. Recommended Spikes - 1/4 inch maximum 

WARM-UP AREA: Grass areas by Softball and Baseball fields and backstretch before race 

ENTRANCE TO TRACK: Athletes, coaches, officials, & staff will be allowed access through the Clerk gate only.

ACCESS TO TRACK AND FIELD EVENT AREA: Only currently competing athletes meet officials, authorized athletic trainers, authorized staff, and authorized photographers will be allowed on the track and in the infield area. 

OFFICIAL WARM-UP AND COMPETITIVE AREAS: Personal electronic devices such as iPods, portable CD players and cell phones are prohibited in the official warm-up and competitive areas. One warning will be issued by the Meet Referee. A second violation will result in disqualification from the meet. [Per NCAA SPR 18-3-d-(3)]

TRAINING ROOM FACILITIES:  Main Training Facility: SFCC Gym, Building 7 Auxiliary Training Site: Tent at SW Corner of Track Complex Contact Person: Phoebe Duke (509) 533-3640 LOCKER ROOMS: Locker rooms will be available in building 7 and under the stadium.

PRACTICE TIMES: Track will be open Sunday for warm-up. 

RESULTS: Will be available in building 7 approximately • hour after the last event and also on the following websites www.scc.spokane.edu, www.nwaacc.org , www.runnerspace.com , www.directathletics.com  plus sent to the coaches via email.

PROGRAMS: Programs will be distributed at the coaches meeting.
